Dave Penrose is the current Society for Freshwater Science President. His research focuses on water quality and how pollution impacts aquatic insects. Dave has worked on monitoring the effectiveness of stream restoration for rebuilding insect communities, an important issue for the future. Additionally, he has been involved with policy for stream restoration and pollution mitigation.
