Join the Association of Youth Councils at Utah State University for the annual Youth City Council Leadership Institute. Youth City Councils from throughout Utah come together to gain and exchange valuable skills training in leadership, community involvement, citizenship, and government organization. Join us this year for three days of guest speakers, learning, leadership, and fun!

REGISTRATION FEE - The Leadership Institute fee is based on individual or group package rates. The fees are as follows:
- One person per room = $205.00 per person
- Two people per room = $175.00 per person
- Three people per room = $150.00 per person
- Four people per room = $140.00 per person
- Commuter package = $110.00 per person
- One-day registration = $90.00 per person
The total package includes meals, lodging, registration, T-shirt, and activities. The commuter package includes everything except lodging. One-day registration includes meals served that day and institute registration fees.

The deadline to register is Wednesday, February 20, 2008, or until we reach our capacity of 400 registrants — WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. Due to hotel arrangements, T-shirt and food service orders, NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS TIME. Register today! Space is limited.
LODGING
Accommodations will be available at the University Inn and Best Western Weston Inn. Councils will be grouped in the same hotel. Lodging assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.
MEALS
Meals will be provided, beginning with dinner Thursday and ending with a continental breakfast Saturday.
PARKING
Passes for the Parking Terrace will be available for those who stay in the University Inn and may be picked up at the University Inn front desk. Those who stay downtown will also need to park in the Parking Terrace while on campus. We will provide you with a pass at registration. Neither the Association of Youth Councils nor USU Conference Services will be liable for parking violations while on campus.
PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE
Each participant, including advisors, will be required to complete an Informed Consent & Permission to Participate in Activity form. Please make a copy for each person attending. Each form must be signed by the participant and by a parent or guardian (if under 18 years of age) prior to the institute. Forms will be collected at the time of registration check-in. Youth participant forms signed by advisors will not be accepted.
CODE OF CONDUCT

DRESS CODE
Attire for the institute is casual; however, shorts are unacceptable. The required dress for the banquet is shirt and tie for the males, and pantsuits or dresses for the females.
GUESTS
We would like to encourage you to invite your mayor and city council members to attend this year's YCC Leadership Institute. Additional meal tickets must be purchased in advance on the advisor's registration form.
YCC BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Involve your Youth City Council by presenting a session at this year's institute. Sessions are forty minutes long and you may present once or twice. Space is still available. To participate, contact Stan Guy at 435-797-3221or Robbie Gerber at 435-797-0860 by Thursday, February 14, 2008
COUNCIL CHALLENGE
An explanation of the Council Challenge will be included in the confirmation packet after registrations have been processed.
SHARE FAIR
Operation Presentation! Each council will need to bring a display that illustrates their council’s accomplishments of the previous year. These will be on display for all the councils, and councils will be voting for the best display. Prizes will be awarded! Displays must be 36" by 36" and include the name of your council somewhere in the display. Think Science Fair Display and please be creative!
