Vision, Mission & BeliefsOur Vision
Our Mission The Intermountain Conference on the Education of the Gifted and Talented, through inter-institutional cooperation between Utah State University and conference cosponsors, is committed to providing educators throughout the Intermountain West with an introduction to, an interaction among, and an initiation of expertise in education of the gifted and talented. Our Beliefs National level experts have important ideas for educators in the Intermountain West to hear and to consider carefully as they develop, implement, and evaluate services for gifted and talented students. Educators from the Intermountain West have high levels of expertise and need a venue through which to share that expertise with other educators. Education of the gifted and talented benefits when novices to the field are provided with opportunities to develop and share their own expertise. As educators working with gifted and talented students improve their knowledge, skills, and dispositions in the field, gifted students are more likely to discover and develop their personal areas of expertise. |
